Singapore stocks finished higher on Thursday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) up 25.14 points, or 0.78 percent, to close at 3,235.96.

A total of 2.14 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 1.35 billion Singapore dollars (971.45 million U.S. dollars). Gainers outnumbered decliners 269 to 181.

The STI index gained 6.03 points, or 0.19 percent, to close at 3,210.82 on Wednesday.
