Singapore stocks finished higher on Friday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) up 17.14 points, or 0.53 percent, to close at 3,254.19.

A total of 2.03 billion shares changed hands with a turnover of 1,107.9 million Singapore dollars (800.5 million U.S. dollars). Gainers outnumbered losers by 247 and 203.

The STI index gained 6.56 points, or 0.2 percent, to close at 3,237.05 Thursday.
