Singapore stocks finished higher on Monday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) up 15.74 points, or 0.49 percent, to close at 3,247.18.

A total of 1.90 billion shares changed hands with a turnover of 764.8 million Singapore dollars (about 553.3 million U.S. dollars).

Gainers outnumbered losers by 274 and 160.
