French Shares Lose 0.35 pct Wednesday-June 14

The Paris CAC40 index which positively kicked off the session on Wednesday, finally slided to red in the afternoon, losing 0.35 percent to close at 5,243.29 points.

Caution therefore is seen in the market as the Fed's monetary statement is to be released tonight. The U.S. Federal Reserve is expected to announce a further rise in interest rates across the Atlantic.

The top three gainers in the French market are EDF which gained 3.2 percent, Engie, up 2 percent and Veolia edged up 1.9 percent.

The companies registered the biggest losses are Lectra which fell 8.1 percent, Euronext which decreased 2.8 percent and TechnipFMC, retreated 2.3 percent as the oil sector is plagued by the continued drop of the black gold prices.
